Dare you seek the spirit of the grey lady who haunts the main castle grounds and old chapel. Or perhaps you would rather seek the ghost of the Black monk who has been seen by staff and visitors several times over the years – his presence is felt throughout the castle and sends shivers down the backs of visitors he passes by! As you walk around the grounds, listen out for the sound of the little drummer boy who was shot whilst delivering a message to the grounds.
There are several ghosts that haunt the magnificent Dudley castle, standing tall over the town of Dudley on a great limestone hill, one of the highest points in the West Midlands.
Dudley Castle was built in 700AD and in 1575 Queen Elizabeth stayed at the castle, and it was also seen as a possible prison for Mary Queen of Scots.

During our previous visits at Dudley castle, participants have regularly experienced amazing ghostly activity and strange sensations – it could well be one of the most haunted castle’s in the country!
You have the chance to spend the night at the castle and become a Paranormal Investigator for the evening where you could experience and record real paranormal activity.
The evening begins at 9pm with a guided tour of the castle and grounds where you will be told of all the ghostly phenomena that has occurred over the years.
The night is action packed with workshops, vigils, demonstrations of psychic techniques and the use of ghost hunting equipment.
Our experienced and qualified staff, accompanied by a Psychic medium will be present at all times to place you in situations that could spark of ghostly activity.
Vigils will be conducted in paranormal hotspots such as the Undercroft where the remains of 2 coffins are situated – a cleaner once reported seeing a pair of feet, clad in a pair of thigh length riding boots – as she looked up she soon realised that the figure was minus the upper half of it’s body!
The last hour of the night you will be given free time to conduct your own vigils and go to the areas you feel most drawn to.
The night finishes at 3.30am with a discussion about the night’s activities and evidence collected.
