The Ghost of Castle Rushen, Castletown,

Isle of Man.

The exact date of when the castle was built is unknown, but it is thought that it was built before 1200. it was the home of the last Norse King of Man who died in 1266.

In 1313 the Castle was part destroyed by Robert the Bruce during a siege to take over the island, but it was rebuilt by Robert de Montacute around 1344.

 The Ghost of Annie

Annie was a servant who lived and worked in the castle. She was arrested for the murder of her young son. She was found guilty and was hanged for the crime, whilst still protesting her innocence. Afterwards they found out that her son died of natural causes. Their ghosts have been seen walking together along the footbridge.

Angry voices have also been heard and another ghost has been seen sleeping in the basement with a sword at his side. It is unknown who he is but he has been seen by a number of visitors including four young boys who signed a statement saying what they saw.
